New Fraktur

Meg Harder's more recent work, "New Fraktur," explores themes of bioregionalism, local history, gender, and Mennonite mythology and religion. This new work takes aesthetic inspiration from traditional "Fraktur" folk art as practiced by Mennonites and rearranges traditional motifs and symbols to offer cultural critique or create opportunities for new hybrid mythologies and narratives.
